Scott Riley Named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year
TAMPA, Fla. - June 15, 2009 - Scott Riley, CEO of Financial Information
Technologies, Inc. (Fintech), received the Ernst & Young 2009 Florida Entrepreneur Of
The Year Award in the service category. The award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs
who are building and leading dynamic, growing businesses.
Riley was selected
by an independent panel of judges. The award was presented at a gala event at the Omni
Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate on Thursday, June 11.
Riley heads up Fintech,
the leader in processing regulated invoices electronically. His firm is the only company
operating in all 50 states whose services allow retailers purchasing beer, wine,
and spirits to pay their distributors electronically from headquarters rather than with
currency, check or money order at each of the retailers' individual locations. Because of
Riley's leadership, commitment, vision and calculated risk-taking, the company has
achieved profitability and is enjoying a growth that indicates long-term sustainability.

"We are proud to recognize the achievements of Mr. Riley," said Mike Brennan,
Ernst & Young partner and Florida Host of the Entrepreneur Of The Year Program. "Entrepreneur
of the Year award recipients are not only successful in building their own businesses, but also
contribute significantly to the strength of our region's economy."
This is the 23rd
anniversary of The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year awards. The program honors
entrepreneurs who have achieved exceptional success in such areas as innovation, financial
performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.
As a Florida
award recipient, Riley hopes to join previous Florida Ernst and Young Entrepreneurs winners
Wayne Huizenga of Waste Management, The Miami Dolphins and Blockbuster Entertainment, and
Chris Sullivan of Outback Steak House, in winning the National Ernst & Young LLP Entrepreneur
Of The Year award. The National Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year award winner will be
announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, California on November 14, 2009.

"Recently, we opened two new fine wine & liquor stores in the Orlando/Kissimmee area. When buying liquor, beer or wine from our vendors, we must ensure that each vendor is paid in a timely manner in order to eliminate being put on the Sate of Florida's no ship list. We have decided to utilize Fintech in order to process our invoices immediately, without the hassle of getting checks to each store before the shipment arrives and to ensure that each vendor is paid immediately for the inventory...." R & S Liquors, Inc.
"In working with Fintech our drivers can make more stops by NOT having to wait for a check, which can become timely. This also gives the driver more security by not having large amounts of cash on their trucks. Fintech also streamlines our regulated reconciliation process, giving us more time to dedicate our resources in other areas." Metro Beverages, Inc.
"We recently acquired a new method of payment called Fintech. Breland's Warehouse Liquors is excited to be a new customer of the Fintech payment system which removes all obligation of cutting checks up front as the product arrives to your location, creating more efficient business transactions. We hope that you will give Fintech the same opportunity as we did, and hope to be doing business with you in the future." Breland's Warehouse Liquors
"My drivers and salesmen know that Fintech saves them valuable delivery and sales time." Beverage Sales, Inc.
"I have been a Fintech customer for 6 months. I love this service! We are open 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, so Fintech enables me to not have to always be here. It allows for convenience of receipt of wine shipments and No more having to leave signed blank checks!" PJ Baggan
